

Saturday, May 5, 2012, the Phi Kappa Psi, New York Theta Fraternity hosted 25 of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester's Club kids at the IMAGINE RIT event. The Fraternity supports the Clubs throughout the year by hosting an annual banquet to benefit the Clubs and volunteering at events, our tutoring center and accelerated reading program.
Thank you to all the brothers of the Phi Kappa Psi, New York Thea for chaperoning our kids at the event and for all that they do for our Club kids!

Regal Summer Movie Express
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester received a grant this summer from Regal Cinema to have Club members attend morning matinees at Regal Cinema Stadium 18 located in Henrietta, NY. Twice a week youth were taken to the movies and also received a concession item. Over 200 Club members enjoyed this experience from June 22, 2011 – August 31, 2011. The Club staff and youth want to thank Regal for their support!

JCPenney Eastview Store Manager, Linda Williams presented the Club with a $2,000 check on Friday, September 2, 2011. Board Member Ernest Lofton accepted the check on behalf of the Club. Thank you JCPenney Eastview!
Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester would like to thank Calvary Automation Systems for sponsoring our 2011 Tennis Club. Club members enjoyed tennis lessons every Tuesday from August 2 – August 30, 2011. Club members learned the game of tennis from two tennis pros from the Tennis Club of Rochester.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester’s held their 1st annual Par-Tee for the Kids that took place on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Locust Hill Country Club. 100 golfers played and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester raised approximately $36,000 dollars. Donations raised will be used for various programs such as accelerated reading, tutoring, teen programming and other youth programs provided by the Club.

Gear for Grades sponsored by Citizens Bank took place on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Clubs main location at 500 Genesee Street. Employees and customers filled bins at Citizens Bank branches with supplies, and the bank supplied the bags to more than 500 youth in need in the Rochester area.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester is VERY excited. Three - yes 3 of our kids - are featured on 6 Lamar billboards posted throughout Rochester! Can you imagine - OUR kids in lights?! This is a first and such an honor for all of us.
One month/quarter for the next year, these kids - Sarah age 18, Wanya age 13, and Brandon age 11 - will be featured throughout Rochester. Currently, this is were our "famous kids" from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester are showcased:

On Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011 Sara Carroll met with Senator Robach at his Albany Legislative Office. Sara is the recipient of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Rochester 2011 Western New York "Youth of the Year" award.
